That's the verse that Steven used when deciding what to call my parents the first time he met them. He addressed them REALLY formally in Chinese (I think it translates to, "sir" and "madam") and rationalized that he'd rather call them that and be corrected, "Oh, just call us Don and Vera," than presume that he could call them Don and Vera and then be corrected, "Who do you think you are? Call us Mr. and Mrs. Li."
